Trifox Announces DesignVision List driver

CAMPBELL, California, December 21, 2001 -- Trifox Inc., announced today that its latest addition to the GENESIS driver family provides a SQL interface to DesignVision list objects.

Trifox' list objects are a vital part of the performance of DesignVision applications. First developed in 1989, lists form the heart of most high performance DesignVision applications. The GENESIS list driver brings the power of SQL to managing data in lists. For example, list objects can be loaded from database tables, manipulated in memory, and then sent back to the database, thus eliminating much of the database's overhead. One area where this is very valuable is in parts explosion or bill of materials applications.

Any of the VORTEX client products can access a DesignVision list database. It is completely transparent to the application and looks like a normal relational SQL database.
